  • Updated

What pricing plans are available for Session?

Session offers flexible pricing plans to accommodate a wide range of needs. Session offers three self-serve plans, one of which is free.

Does Session offer a Business Plan?

Yes! If you'd like to learn more, you can talk with our team about the details. It includes everything offered in the Pro Plus plan and SSO, personalized onboarding, advanced integrations and more. Go to and click "Contact sales".

What is a host?

A host is the Session account owner. The host can also share "co-host" links to with teammates to help them run individual Sessions if they are on the Pro, Pro Plus or Business Plans.

If I need 5 host seats for my team, can we all be billed together?

Not right now, but in the future that will be available.

What is a co-host? Does this require an additional host seat?

In the Pro, Pro Plus and Business plan, Session users have the ability to give another participant co-host abilities. This means the co-host can also manage the event - customize the room, moderate the chat, manage the stage, etc. Giving someone co-host controls for an event does not require an additional host seat. See more information on co-host capabilities here.

Does Session charge for registrations?

We will not charge you for people who register to attend your Session. With Session, you are paying for a per Session attendee limit. An attendee is defined as someone who actually attends your Session event. This means they click your room/event link, and join the Session.

What happens if I exceed my attendee limit?

If you exceed your attendee limit in the middle of an event, additional attendees will be allowed to join the call. We won’t block participants that exceed this number from participating. However, we will inform you and you will be asked to upgrade your plan before running future sessions.

If someone joins my 1-hr event for 2 minutes, will that count against my attendee limit?

Yes, a participant joining your session will count towards the limit, regardless of how long they stay.

Can I increase my attendee limit at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade your plan in the Billing section at any time.

What is the attendee limit for the Business plan?

The limit is currently 3,000 concurrent participants. If you need more, please let us know and we can discuss it further.

Do I have a limit on how many events I can host per month?

No, there is no limit to the number of events you can host per month. Each plan has a cap on how many participants can join a Session. As an example, if you’re on the Pro Plan, you can have unlimited sessions with up to 500 participants in each session.

How long can my Sessions last?

This depends on your plan. If you are using the Free Plan, those are limited to 90 minutes per event. If you are signed up for the Pro or Business plan, your event can be up to 4 hours long.

How does the free plan work? Is there a credit card required?

The free plan will remain free, forever! No credit card is required to sign up for it. If you’d like to upgrade at any point to the Pro or Business plan, you can do so from your Session dashboard in Settings (top right-hand corner), and you’ll also see the option to upgrade if you click on any Pro features in a session.

Do you offer pricing per event?

No, there is no per-event price. Self-serve plans are charged monthly, with Business plan charged annually.

When will I be billed for my monthly subscription?

You will be billed in advance of each month.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
