How to View a Recording from a Scheduled Session

  • Updated

Scheduled sessions are those that occur one time at a specific date and time. Organizers who setup these sessions have the option to add a registration page, so that you are required to enter your email address (and other optional fields) to be able to join the session. If no registration page exists, you will be able to join a scheduled session once it has been started, just like you would join a room.

Anyone can join a scheduled session, regardless of whether or not they have a Session account.

Once the scheduled session has ended, if it is recorded, you can access the recording using the same link you used to join the session.

Viewing the recording if you registered

If you registered for the session (regardless of whether you attended), you can view the recording using the same access link you used to join the session.

On the recordings page, you will see:

  • The session recording (including its duration and number of views)
  • The chat transcript (dependent on whether the organizer makes it publicly available)
  • The Q&A transcript (dependent on whether the organizer makes it publicly available)
  • Links shared (dependent on whether the organizer makes it publicly available)

Viewing the recording if you did not register

If you did not register for the session before it started, you will need to do so after it ends to be able to view the recording. After you register, you will receive an email with an access link to view the recording, along with the other content listed above.
