Browser notifications for Session are quite handy if you want to be notified when someone is trying to join your room, whether they joined directly or requested to join from their lobby.
To enable browser notifications:
- Log in to your Session dashboard
- Click on your avatar at the top right of the page
- Select Settings
- Toggle the 'Send browser notifications' option to on
We also recommend double-checking the following on your system:
- Ensure that notifications for Session are allowed in your browser settings
- For Google Chrome these steps.
- For Firefox follow these steps.
- For Microsoft Edge go to the three dots at the top right > Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Notifications
- Ensure that browser notifications are enabled in your computer system preferences:
- On Mac, go to System Preferences > Notifications & Focus and find your browser on the list. Here you can also decide whether you want the notifications to go away on their own or you want to dismiss them manually.
- On Windows, Select Start > Settings > System > Notifications & actions and ensure that notifications are allowed for apps and other senders.
- On Mac, go to System Preferences > Notifications & Focus and find your browser on the list. Here you can also decide whether you want the notifications to go away on their own or you want to dismiss them manually.
Tip! If you are having any issues after enabling the above, we recommend restarting your computer.
