I'm Unable to Share My Screen on a Mac

If you’re unable to share your screen on MacOS, it is likely that the screen recording feature needs to be enabled for your browser within the device's settings.

  • Open the System preferences
  • Navigate to Security & Privacy > Privacy
  • Click the lock labeled "Click the lock to make changes". When prompted, enter an admin username and password.
  • Check the box next to the browser that you are using
  • Restart your browser for the changes to take effect

You should be able to screen share now!
 
If you are still unable to screen share, please check to ensure that your browser is up-to-date follow the steps below:
  • Open the System preferences
  • Navigate to Security & Privacy > Privacy
  • Click the lock labeled "Click the lock to make changes". When prompted, enter an admin username and password.
  • If it's already checked, uncheck the checkbox the browser in the list on the right side. If prompted, choose "Later".
  • Check the same checkbox for the browser that you just unchecked. If prompted, choose "Quit & Reopen".

Tip: We also recommend switching to a different web browser for troubleshooting purposes.
