Troubleshooting Screen Sharing on Mac

If you’re unable to share your screen when you first start using Session on a device running macOS, it is likely that you need to configure your screen recording permissions in the system settings.


Configure screen recording permissions in system settings

  • Open the System Settings
  • Navigate to Privacy & Security
  • Choose Screen Recording and toggle the appropriate browsers to On

 Restart your browsers for the permission changes to take effect. You should now be able to share your screen in Session.
