  • Updated

Customize the stage to make it your own! Session allows you to add music and various animations to the stage. You can also choose the stage color and how the name labels will look!

To get started, you'll need to access the room's customization panel while in a Workshop or an Interactive Webinar themed room:

  • From inside the room, click on the Customize icon (gear)
  • You'll then be taken to the customization panel
  • Click on Stage under the Room section

  • From here you can:
    • Customize the name labels
    • Add/Remove music from the Stage
    • Animate the room's name and logo on Stage
    • Animate the Stage background
    • Set the Stage color
  • Once you're finished, click on the gear icon once more to close the panel. You can exit the room altogether by clicking on the Leave room button.

Changes made here take effect immediately. We recommend customizing your room ahead of time for a smooth participant experience.

Customize the Name Labels

The name of the participant who is on stage will be shown at the bottom left of their video feed. Session allows you to customize how their name label will look. Here's how to do it:

  • Once in the stage area of the room customization panel, click on the drop-down icon next to Name labels
  • Choose the design of your choice. You'll be able to see an example of how it will look on stage.

Add/Remove Music from the Stage

Add or remove music from your empty stage here by selecting one of the preloaded tracks.

  • Click within the drop-down box next to "Music" under the "Empty Stage" section. This is set to "None" by default.
  • Choose the track of your choice.

That's it.

- If the stage is empty while you are choosing the music, you'll be able to hear what it sounds like.
- Participants can pause and unpause the music for themselves if they want by hovering over the empty stage with the cursor for the pause and play button to show.

To remove music from your stage, open the room customization panel once more, and select "None".

Animate the Room's Name and Logo on Stage

Animate the name and logo for your room on stage by choosing from one of the pre-loaded animation settings or set it to None to turn off animations.

  • Click on the drop-down box next to "Logo animation"
  • Select the animation of your choice. The options are Shrink, Fade, and Pulse.

Only the name of the room will show up on the stage if you haven't set a logo for the room.

Animate the Stage Background

You can also animate the stage's background.

  • Simply click within the drop-down box next to "Background animation"
  • Choose the animation of your choice. You can see a preview of how it will look if the stage is empty at the time.

Only one background animation can be used at a time.

Set the Stage Color

Change the color of your stage to match your room or put it in a completely different color if you want!

  • Under Stage color, click on the Background button
  • Use the color picker to find the color of your choice or type in the HEX code for the color that you want

Tip! If you don’t know the HEX codes, you can use this online color picker to upload your logo or image and it will generate the color codes for you.

Tip! Your stage color can be different from your room button colors. If you'd like them to be the same, simply go back to the main page of the customization panel > Click on Colors and copy the HEX code to paste it into the stage color area.

Q: Will participants be able to see the changes that I make to the stage or room in real-time?
A: Yes. If you don't want them to be able to see the changes in real-time, we recommend setting up your room and stage ahead of time.

Q: I can't see the color of the stage when someone is on stage. Is this normal?
A: Yes. You'll only be able to see the stage color (along with any other customizations) when the stage is empty. This doesn't apply to the name labels though. The name label will only show when someone is on stage.

Q: Can I upload my own customizations for my empty stage?
A: Not at this time. Only the pre-loaded options can be used.
